View of the Senate Palace in Paris, a building constructed between 1615 and 1620 by Salomon de Brosse, imitating the Pitti Palace in Florence, which was used as a prison during the Revolution. Printed text on the front mentions Danton and Camille Desmoulins. Reverse: handwritten letter dated June 8, 1916, sent from Paris, with a postage stamp and postmark 'POSTE FRANÇAISE'.
