View of Place de la Madeleine in Paris, with its columns and sculpted pediment, in the middle of a busy street with cars and pedestrians. The reverse side has a handwritten address to Madame Nadal in Clermont-Ferrand, a date of 27 March 1944, a French 50-centime postmark, and a Parisian cancellation. The publisher is Photolux, series 1009.
