Description

View of the statue of Napoleon I in Roman emperor costume on the Vendôme Column, with inscription detailing its history: erected in 1810, replaced by a white flag under Louis XVIII, then by a statue of Severus under Louis-Philippe, and finally by a copy of Chaudet under Napoleon III. Reverse: handwritten address to Madame Gaillard in Marseille, with sender's signature 'Jeanne & Armand' and date '1913'.
