Description

Postcard showing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Paris, surrounded by flowers and two figures in period costume. The inscription on the monument reads: 'HERE RESTS A FRENCH SOLDIER WHO DIED FOR HIS COUNTRY 1914-1918'. Reverse: handwritten text dated 19 February 1927, sent from Paris to Marseille, with a blue 25-centime stamp and postmark 'PARIS 17.6.21'.
