View of the memorial monument to the Unknown Soldier in Paris, surrounded by many bouquets and wreaths. The inscription on the base reads: 'HERE RESTS A FRENCH SOLDIER WHO DIED FOR THE FATHERLAND 1914-1918'. The back has a handwritten letter dated March 1, 1923, sent from Paris to Saint-Brice (Côtes du Nord), with a 10-centime green postage stamp and a Parisian cancellation.
