Colorized view of the Rhine at Speyer, with the cathedral in the background and boats on the water, including one steamboat. The artist R.K. Hugkelbein is signed at the bottom right. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated December 31, 1918, addressed to a « dear Sister », mentioning a « part at the Rhine » and a « small family ». The publisher on the reverse is « Kunstverlag Hermann Conrath Speyer » with the note « Nachbildung verboten ! ».
