Morning view from a stone balcony overlooking the Pyrenees, with snow-capped mountains in the background and flowering trees in the foreground. Reverse: dated postcard from 22 May 1961, sent from Pau (B.P.) to Madame Étienne de Vézé, with a 20-centime French postage stamp and handwritten text mentioning the heat in Biarritz and an imminent departure from the country.
