View of the ruins of the church in Péronne after the war 1914-1918, with a monument in the foreground. The front shows the bilingual inscription 'Guerre 1914-15-16-17 Retraite des Allemands / War 1914-15-16-17. German Retreat' and the serial number '65me Série'. The reverse shows a handwritten letter in cursive addressed to Madame Lamarg, with an address to L'Île Adam, and a 10 centime French Republic postage stamp with a postmark.
