Historical illustration of the Upper Gate in Pérouges, with an inscription recalling the siege of 1469 and the legend « The Dauphiné scoundrels wanted to take it and they could not. However, they carried off the gates, the hinges, and the locks and tumbled down with them. May the Devil take them! ». Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated June 7, 1921, addressed to Miss Louise Granger in Locarnas (Rhône), with a postmark and cancellation.
