View of a ruined oratory by the sea in Ploumanach, with printed text referring to its construction in the 13th century by the Cistercians of the Begard abbey and a local tradition of young girls planting pins. The reverse shows a handwritten letter addressed to 'My dear Lucienne' and a mention of the phototype by A. B. in Angers.
