View of the Perthes cemetery devastated by the battles of World War I, with collapsed tombs and cemetery crosses still standing amidst the ruins. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 17 March 1930, sent from Perthes, mentioning the receipt of a crucifix and a reflection on the local church.
