Dramatic illustration of a breakwater under a sea storm with a lighthouse amidst the waves. Poetic text printed at the top: « Meul nous allons, amère souffrance, / Ah! ton cœur a brisé nos cœurs, / L'âme torturée et les yeux en pleurs, / Cherchant les débris de notre espérance. E. GENDRON. » Reverse: handwritten text dated 4 August 1920, correspondence from Brest to Bordeaux, mentioning a journey and a family. Postage stamp and cancellation visible.
