View of the ruined lighthouse covered in ivy, with a tiled-roof house in the foreground, on the coast. Printed text indicates the ancient lighthouse dating from 1679. Reverse: handwritten address to 'Monsieur Chandonneau' in Charente-Inférieure, 10-centime postage stamp, postmark from Châtellerault dated May 15, 1935, and note 'All foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the reverse'.
