Black and white view of Place du Martroi in Pithiviers, with a church with a spired steeple in the center and buildings with light-colored facades. On the back, a handwritten letter dated May 20, 1948, sent to 'dear people' by a traveler who describes the city hotel and its surroundings. The stamp and cancellation mark are visible at the bottom right.
