Description

Profile view of the Gard Bridge, a 200-meter-long and 48-meter-high Roman aqueduct, built under Emperor Augustus to channel water from the Eure to Nîmes. The reverse indicates that it was destroyed during the Visigoth invasion (412–418) and mentions the collection of the Hôtel Servière at the Gard Bridge.
