View of the beach at Pontaillac with bathing tents and a large structure on stilts for dining, by the edge of an animated sea. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Doyon in Pompéy-sur-Ouerg, with the inscription 'Bonnes amitiés de tout cœur' from Berthe Malafos.
