Interior of the Chapel of the Virgin at the Abbey of Pontigny, showing a statue of the Virgin with Child and another statue to the left, beneath Gothic vaults. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated April 23, 1930, addressed to 'My dear' and sent from Pontigny to Langres, with the inscription 'Postcard reserved for correspondence' and a cancellation 'CARTE POSTALE'.
