Description

View of the medieval castle of Pontivy, whose construction is attributed to Jean de Rohan in 1485, with two conical towers remaining out of the original four and a wrought-iron honor staircase visible in the courtyard. Reverse: 15-centime green postage stamp of the French Republic, handwritten address to Mme Gaudbert, Chief of the Sûreté in Nantes, Loire-Inférieure, and printed text indicating the area reserved for correspondence.
