View of the monumental entrance to the Aliscamps in Alès, with a man in a coat descending the steps in front of a metal gate. The printed text on the front indicates 'Main Entrance of the Aliscamps'. The reverse bears a handwritten address to Madame Léonore, 6 bis du Jardin Zoologique, Marseille, dated 1920, and a postmark of 'RHÔNE INOIR 18 507 1920'.
