View of Roman arcades in Angers, dating from their discovery in 1836, with sculpted column capitals and a paved floor. The reverse side features a handwritten address to Monsieur Phillipe Guillermé, 41 Rue de Buffon, Paris, with a green 5-centime stamp and a partial postmark from Paris dated April 1st, 1904.
