Black and white view of the Pointe de l'Île and the Central House in Melun, featuring a fortified building along a canal and a wooded shore. The reverse has a handwritten address to Marcelle Brandou at the Hôtel des Bains in Bandol (Var), a handwritten date '5 X 2 1918', and a 5-centime French Republic postage stamp canceled in Bandol.
