Description

Postcard showing the ruins of the Manville Hotel in Les Baux, built in the 16th century by Claude II de Manville, with a Protestant motto carved on the entablature. The printed text recalls that this place was a Protestant refuge under his lordship. Reverse: green 50-centime stamp canceled in Marseille, handwritten address to Madame Nayel, rue Paradis, Marseille, and note 'All foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the front side'.
