Black and white view of the ancient fortifications of Provins, side Oueat, with ruined walls covered in ivy and a path lined with trees. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated Thursday, October 5, 1939, addressed to a colleague, mentioning the receipt of a letter and the sending of a reply, with a Provins (S.-et-M.) postmark and a mention of the 13th century.
