View of the ancient palace of the Counts of Champagne in Provins, a 13th-century building with sculpted remains, a crowned fireplace, and an underground crypt, built on a ridge offering an extensive panorama over the forests of Sourdun and Chenoise. Reverse: green 10-centime stamp, Provins postmark of 28 June 1908, correspondence addressed to Louis Gauvillier at the Hotel Napetier in Contreserville (Vosges).
