Description

Interior view of a fragment of medieval fortifications in Provins, dating from the 12th century, showing a stone-arched passage with a winding path beyond. The reverse has a handwritten inscription dated October 19, 1923, addressed to a 'Dear Madam,' with a note of thanks and a mention of correspondence. The stamp and cancellation are partially visible.
