View of the ruins of the Faneron Pottery in Provins, dating from the 12th century, with a stone arch and ruined walls surrounded by bare trees. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to M. R. Lorgnan, 2, Rue des Beaux Arts, Paris, with a postage stamp from Seine-et-Marne dated August 22, 1907.
