Description

View of the Tower of the Executioner in Provins, former residence of the executioners of the Criminal Bailiwick, dating from the 13th century. The last mentioned occupant is Cyr-Charlemagne Samson in 1788. The reverse shows a cancellation from Provins dated October 10, 1927, and a handwritten address to Wurmlinghien.
