View of La Tour du Bourreau in Provins, former residence of the executioners of the bailiwick. Printed text recalls that Cyr-Charlemagne Sanson, last bailiff of Provins, carried out the execution of King Louis XVI on January 21, 1793. Reverse: photograph of Brays-sur-Seine, missing stamp and cancellation, illegible handwritten text.
