Description

Sepia-toned view of a mountainous landscape seen through pine branches, with a winding stream below. Reverse: handwritten letter dated September 1st, 1922, addressed to « Chère Sénèchette », describing a splendid week of holidays in Gavarnie, with a pilgrimage to London and a day in the mountains. Gavarnie postal stamp, N° 65, with visible cancellation.
