View of the 17th Battalion of Chasseurs barracks in Rambervillers, with a central building and two symmetrical wings, under a cloudy sky. Three soldiers in uniform are visible in front of the gates. On the reverse, a handwritten address to Monsieur H. Steinspach in Paris, with a 5-centime postmark dated May 5, 1905, and a red cancellation 'RAMBERVILLERS'.
