Description

View of the Reims Cathedral in 1918, showing its towers partially destroyed by the bombings of World War I. The printed text at the bottom indicates that the building was hit by 1700 projectiles. On the reverse, a 40-centime French postage stamp, a postmark from Reims dated August 28, 1918, and handwritten address to Mme Charles Pallet in Paris.
