Description

View of the Palace of Justice in Rennes, a historic building dating from 1511, with an Italian-style garden in the foreground. The back has an inscription detailing its history: former Parliament of Brittany, built in the Cordeliers' garden, with mention of the architect Jacques Debrosse and its transformation into the Temple of Law in 1706. Postmark of 40 centimes and Rennes postmark of 21 November 1939.
