Black and white aerial view of the Palais du Commerce in Rennes, with its ornate facades and arcades, surrounded by gardens and lively promenades. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 13, 1940, addressed to Jacqueline, mentioning that Rennes was bombed but is now quiet, with flower-filled gardens. The publisher is 'Larentel' and the stamp is canceled in Rennes.
