Engraved portrait of Armand du Plessis, Duke of Richelieu, Marshal of France, born in Paris in 1696 and died in 1788. Text printed on the front details his military and diplomatic career, including his role at the French Court and his campaign in Flanders. The reverse indicates that correspondence should be addressed to the front and mentions the construction of the Hanover Pavilion in Paris by the Duke.
