Black and white aerial view of the village of Rothau nestled in a valley surrounded by wooded mountains, with a church and industrial buildings in the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 18 July 1923, sent from Rothau to Concielles, with a 10-centime green postage stamp and a postmark from Tinténièr (Ain) dated 20 July 1923.
