Description

Postcard showing a hermit in a dark robe and hat, holding a staff, standing on coastal rocks with a view of the sea and a small rocky island on the horizon. The printed text at the top indicates 'Côte d'Emeraude' and 'ROTHENEUF — The Hermit Among His Works'. On the reverse, a circular postmark from Rotheneuf (Loire-Atlantique) dated 14 July 1907, and a note at the top: 'Not all foreign countries accept correspondence on the front, please inquire at the post office.'
