View of the Butter Tower in Rouen, in flamboyant Gothic style, built between 1485 and 1507. Printed text mentions its construction using the products of indulgences granted to the faithful for the use of butter during Lent. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Pafirin in L'Église, Sarthe, with a stamp and postmark from Rouen.
