Description

Aerial view of the Butter Tower in Rouen, in flamboyant Gothic style, dated 1485 to 1507, built using the proceeds from indulgences granted to the faithful for the use of butter during Lent. Reverse: postcard sent March 29, 1925 from Rouen, with a 15 centimes postage stamp and cancellation mark, addressed to a doctor in Carrent, with a handwritten letter from V. Piéton.
