Black and white view of a winding path bordered by coniferous trees, crossing a mountainous landscape with a rocky cliff on the right. Printed text at the bottom: 'Schlucht Road. — The Devil's Rock. — ND Pbot'. Reverse: handwritten address to Mrs. Marie Desuëls in Villefranche-sur-Saône, green 40-centime stamp and cancellation mark from Saint-Étienne (Rhône) dated February 15, 1901.
