Description

Black and white view of the ruin of Drachenfels Castle, perched on a rocky promontory and surrounded by dense vegetation. The printed text at the bottom of the front indicates 'RUINE DRACHENFELS'. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to 'Dear Friends', mentioning a military permit and a visit to the mountain, as well as a postmark and cancellation.
