Black and white view of the Hammerstein ruin on the banks of the Rhine, with two sailboats moored in the foreground. The reverse has a handwritten address to Saint-Maur-des-Fossés (near Paris) and a German postage stamp cancelled in Wanne-Eickel, with a publisher's stamp from Erich Stenzel.
