Postcard showing the ruins of the cathedral in Arras after the destructions of 1918. The printed text at the top reads '2948. Ruins of ARRAS The Cathedral'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated January 22, 1919, addressed to Albert in Brussels, mentions news from the countryside and plans to return to France. A 2-franc French Republic postage stamp is affixed at the lower right corner.
