Description

Postcard showing the ruins of the Monthlery fortress castle, with the stone keep and its foundation wall of rubble. Printed text on the front refers to Saint-Louis' residence and his mother Blanche of Castile during his minority. Reverse: 10-cent postage stamp, postmark from Vaucresson (Seine) dated August 16, 1933, handwritten address to Mme Élise Thomassin in Brazzaville, and mention of the 'Trianon' 1933 edition.
