Young woman in a patterned dress and decorated hat holding an umbrella, posed on a rocky shore. Printed text at the bottom: 'Lucien Amiaud, Sables-d'Olonne - No. 2252 - Reproduction prohibited'. Reverse: handwritten text dated September 25, 1916, addressed to 'Monsieur M. Gaborin, Bron, Rhône', with the note 'All foreign countries do not accept correspondence on the front (Check with the Post Office)' and a postage stamp with cancellation.
