Description

View of the Cange Castle in Saint-Avertin, an ancient lordship under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Tours, with a pond in front. The text indicates that it was inhabited by P.-I. de Chastres, mayor of Tours, and that his collection of manuscripts is preserved in the National Library under the name of « fonds Cange ». Reverse: correspondence addressed to Mlle M. Cheneward in Montreuil (B) Seine, with a 5c postage stamp and postmark.
