View of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye castle, a Renaissance building with red and white stone façades and roofs bordered by balustrades. The reverse details its history: built on the ruins of a 13th-century fortress, it was renovated under Louis VI and Charles V, then modified under Louis XIV and Napoleon III, and today houses the collections of the National Antiquities Museum.
