Black and white view of a powerful wave breaking on a quay lined with buildings, at Cap Fréteval. The reverse has a handwritten address to Madame E. Giroux in Pigeon, Gauville, Manche, and an 8 franc stamp 'La Vallée de la Seine aux Andelys' canceled in Saint-Servan (Ille-et-Vilaine) on May 17, 1955. The publisher 'Réal-Photo' is mentioned at the bottom of the reverse.
