Printed text at the bottom: '2105 Charente-Inférieure — Renaissance Gate which was part of the Abbey Cour de la Caserne Taillebourg'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence to the address of M. Poncelet in Paris, an orange 20-centime postage stamp obliterated 'SAINTES', and mention of the publisher F. Braun, phot. éd. Royan (Charente-Inférieure).
