View of the monument 'Le Pain de sucre' in Sainte-Adresse, raised in memory of General Cornet Lefèbvre Desnoëttes, who died in a shipwreck in 1822. The printed text on the front explains that the general's widow, concerned for the fate of sailors, erected this monument at a point where he warned of misfortunes by signaling dangers. On the reverse, the postcard is blank of any correspondence or stamp.
