View of the Le Pain de Sucre monument in Sainte-Adresse, erected in memory of General Count Lefebvre-Desnœttes, who died in a shipwreck on the coast of Ireland on April 22, 1832. The general's widow, concerned about the fate of sailors, had this monument built at a point where it warns of misfortunes by signaling dangers.
